Dear Friends of Presence,

I want to thank you for your faithful partnership with us in the past 8 years. Your prayers and support have been the backbone of Presence Ministry.  I would like to take this chance to share with you the immediate need of Presence.

As you know, Presence has been faithfully providing many professional and quality resources to local churches and communities throughout the Greater Los Angeles and Orange counties in the past 8 years.  To date, we have already served more than 36,000 Asian Americans through our parenting seminars, marriage seminars, family conferences, youth leadership training, media resources productions.

In October 2010, we took a step of faith and launched our first issue of the bilingual Presence Family Magazine to the Asian American communities. The feedbacks we’ve received have been tremendously encouraging and positive.  We’d like to double or even triple its production to 20,000 copies if budget is allowed. However, due to our current lack of financial resources, the Family Magazine may not have enough funds to publish the upcoming October issue.

I believe God has given us a vision to further the ministry to reach young Asian American in the years ahead. We’d like to reach teenagers aged 11 to 19 using multimedia means via internet, magazines, videos and special events, i.e. Understanding of Different Religion. I strongly urge you to consider partnering with us in this mission through your financial support.

We have many important ministries in this last quarter of 2011 – clinical training CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) for depression and anxiety, men’s conferences, women’s growth groups, Family Magazine, launching of the new Youth Magazine and website, producing new resource booklets, and more. Even with the careful use of what we have, we need at least $10, 000 to take us to the remainder of the year.

Unfortunately, Presence is financially undergoing a very difficult time.  Our financial budget for 2011 was $184,300.  However, up to the end of August, our total income received from all sources was only $ 71,612.  We consistently experience a shortage of $6,400 each month.

As a non-profit organization, our funding relies solely on donations.  I pray that you continually share our vision and consider giving financial support to Presence on a regular basis.  I hope that you will be excited about what Presence is doing and through partnership with you or your organization; we will increase our impact to the local community.

May God bless you all!
