Presence Possibilities, an initiative of Presence Quotient®, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit-organization,  aims to help individuals and families succeed through professional assessments and consultations identifying their personality, unique talents, culture, learning style, ideal college major and career. Presence Possibilities provides a holistic approach to personal and professional development – including assessments, training, and life coaching – to help individuals and families expand their potential and enrich their lives.

Currently, Presence Possibilities offers services for the following groups of people: learning styles and multiple intelligences for children in grades 4-8 and their parents; college major and career exploration for high school and college students; and guidance for adults seeking new jobs or career changes. Launched in 2013, Presence Possibilities is based in California and works alongside Presence Quotient and its other initiatives to uphold Christian and family values and to raise cultural, generational, and personal awareness for the wellness of our society and future generations.

Main Services:

  • Learning Styles & Multiple Intelligences Assessments
    – Provide assessments to determine learning styles and multiple intelligences, as well as consultation for parents and children (grades 4-8) to enhance a parent’s effectiveness in advancing their child’s learning and to address challenges and difficulties in parenting.   • Choosing a Major and/or Career
    – Provide professional assessment to help high school and college students identify a suitable major, resources to identify the best schools, and information on how to find the best job or career. Please visit PP website for more details
  • Provide an in-depth professional assessment for working adults who want to change career paths
    – We will provide a thorough list of jobs in fields where people with similar personalities and interests have found success. We will also provide resources with more information on salaries, work environment, educational requirements, etc.

Workshops and Trainings:

We are committed to prepare youth and young adults for the workplace so they may become godly servants and ethical workers. To achieve this goal, we offer a wide range of workshops, life-stage appropriate consultations, and resources for personal growth and development.

1. What is the difference between the various assessment packages?

College Major & Career Exploration – This package will assess your personality, personal strengths and areas of interest in order to determine suitable college major /occupations that have high potential for providing a fulfilling career. The consultant will work with you to search the colleges which are best for that particular major of your choice.

Learning Style & Multiple Intelligences – This package is very helpful particularly for students in Grades 4  to 8 in understanding their learning styles, strengths and potentials. The consultant will provide an analysis about the children’s preferred styles of learning or processing information and will give tips on how they may learn best. This will enhance their learning potential, school performances, and the parent and child relationship. This information can also give you an idea on what types of career and environment your child may enjoy.

College Major or Career Path Change – For return clients who have done the personality and interest inventories assessment with us before, the consultant will re-evaluate the previous reports and re-identify your new interest and passion with you together. A 1-on-1 meeting can be arranged for new clients who are considering a career change and are looking for consultation. However, they may need to take certain suitable inventories tests before the consultation meeting can take place.

**The consultant will assess whether or not you need to take/retake the inventories tests. In general situation, former participants do not need to retake any of the assessments

2. What is the general process and the estimated amount of time involved?

Step 1: Initial Phone Consultation – We would like to understand your needs and expectations; to discuss the suitable inventories and package, fees and procedures of the particular service that you may be interested in. (30 min.)

Step 2: Test Taking:

For College Major & Career Exploration – A link to the inventories will be emailed to the Participant to work on at his/her own pace. (0.5-1 hr.)

For Learning Style & Multiple Intelligences – Children & parent(s)/ guardian will come into the office to work on the inventories under the supervision of our consultant. (0.5 hr.)

**Payment must be received before the assessment test’s link is sent to the participant.

Step 3: Meeting with Our Consultant:

For College Major & Career Exploration – A 1-on-1 meeting with our consultant to verify, explain, and analyze the accuracy of the results of the assessment report as well as identifying the most suitable & desirable career path with the participant.  (2 -3hrs.)

If a participant would like to involve their parent(s)/guardian after the 1-on-1 consultation is done, with the participant’s permission, the consultant will meet with the participant and the parent(s)/guardian to explain the process and how the result has come about (1 -1.5hrs.)

For Learning Style & Multiple Intelligences – The consultant will introduce and explain the 3 learning styles and the 8 intelligences. The parent/(s)/guardian and the child will be interviewed to verify the results of the assessments. Customized coaching tips will be given to the parent(s)/ guardian to improve the child’s learning effectiveness. (2 -3hrs)

** 1- 2  additional coaching sessions for the parent(s)/guardian could be arranged upon request with a fee.

3. Where are the meetings held and how many times do I have to come in?

Generally, all meetings are held at our office in the City of Industry. For long distance clients, or under certain circumstances that do not permit meeting in person, it is viable to use other online platforms, such as Google Meet or Zoom, to conduct the consultation meeting (only recommended for College Major & Career Exploration service).

You’ll need to meet once or twice, depending on the progress of the consultation/interview session.

4. What are the opening hours for appointments?

Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30am – 5:30pm. The latest appointments can be scheduled at 3:30pm. Special arrangements on Saturday appointment could be made upon request, depending on the availability of the consultants.

5. How much does it cost?

6. Who will be conducting the consultation?

Dr. Agnes Ip, PhD., LMFT.

Dr. Ip has more than 20 years of experience in the psychological profession and many years in conducting assessments to elementary, high school and college students. She also coaches professionals, small business and organization owners. She has provided training to high-level executives in human resource management on how to resolve interpersonal conflict and how to work with difficult people. She has coached professionals in the marketplace as well as church and pastoral staff workers.
